How you can get involved

Join the largest festival that presents filmmaking from Down Under in Europe. We promote Australian and New Zealand culture at our annual festival in September and further events throughout the year. If you are interested in Australia and New Zealand or the organisation of screen and cultural events and would like to work with an international team get in touch with us!

Volunteer with us

Down Under Berlin wouldn’t be possible without the amazing help of all of our volunteers and continuous team members.

Currently, we are especially looking for people with an expertise in fundraising and ad sales as well as photo- and videographers. If those aren’t your strong suits do get in touch with us anyway. We can always need a helping hand.

We’d like to invite you to take a look at our team page to get a first impression of who we are and to find out who does what at Down Under Berlin. We are happy to answer all your questions and are looking forward to meeting you!

Support us next time you shop online

An easy way to support us financially without actually chipping in your own money is by shopping online via Bildungsspender. Every time you shop online – for example here – a percentage of your purchase will be donated to projects like ours! Win win for everybody. Why not check out our profile right now or download this app that will automatically notify you of all the shops that have partnered up with Bildungsspender. So far 1600 shops are listed!

Become a sponsor or partner

Down Under Berlin presents a tremendous opportunity to reach a captive audience of socially aware, professional urbanites and international explorers. Please visit our Sponsorship page for more details.

With your help we are able to present unique films, and increase the relevance of film making from Down Under to the German market. Thereby we further the exchange between local arts and culture with those from Australia and New Zealand in Berlin and beyond.

Make a donation

Down Under Berlin would not be possible without the amazing support of our partners and the passion of our team, which is entirely made up of volunteers. By supporting us financially you can help us obtain screening rights for more amazing films from Down Under and thereby expand our platform for Australian and New Zealand filmmakers. Get in touch with us if you would like to receive more information.

Down Under Berlin is run by the non-profit association Down Under Berlin – Australian Film Festival e.V. which means that your financial donation can be claimed on your tax return in Germany. The festival will provide you with a receipt for your donation. All we need is your postal address.
